This survey was sent out to all Soo Lake property owners in late May, 2008.

 Hello again Soo Lake Property Owners!

First, we hope that over the winter all of you were able to check out and enjoy our new website.  We encourage anyone who wants to send stories and images of interest that happen near, in or on the lake.  You can email T J Dunn at tjdunn@newnorth.net.

This survey is a follow-up from the August 4, 2007, "neighborhood" meeting held at Bill and Mary Padgett's house.Eagle on the island
We are going to finalize:

1. As many of our neighboring lakes are doing, do you favor forming an official lake associate? ___ Yes ___No

2. What time of year would be best? _____Month _____Saturday _____Sunday _____Time

3. Should a permanent weekend date be set for such meetings? ____Yes ____No

4. Where should we convene for said meetings? ____________________

Example: Newbold Town Hall, UW Extension Office, Library, A neighbor's house on the lake, Other

5. Should we have an annual dues to cover the cost of postage and refreshments? ____Yes ____No

6. Should we have "voluntary-elected" officials? ____Yes ____No

Click to enlarge in a new window     there were no conflicts or mean-spirited confrontations at the 2007 meeting
Click to enlarge in a new window     the recommendation to organize property owners comes from a concern for the lake environment, including the humans who dwell here
Click to enlarge in a new window     as a group we will be better prepared to have an impact in the event that an entity makes plans to alter the environment in an adverse manner... such as establishing a public boat landing, adverse noise from airport flight patterns, lake stocking, multi-family dwellings ("not that there's anything wrong with multi-family dwellings" see Seinfeld episode)
